The service
Universal Prayers provides original examples of Catholic intercessions, a calendar reference interface, editing tools, and optional AI assistance. The public reading and editing features do not require an account or payment. Availability may change, and fair-use request limits protect the service from abuse. These terms apply to your use of this website.
Permission for parish use
You may read, adapt, print, download, and proclaim the original prayer texts from this site for personal, parish, school, and liturgical preparation. You may include an adapted set in a parish worship aid or bulletin. A short UniversalPrayers.com credit is appreciated where practical but is not required in a spoken prayer. This permission does not authorize repackaging the full library or its site design as a competing commercial collection.
Official texts and external sources
Official liturgical texts, linked Bible translations, external publications, and third-party logos remain subject to their owners’ rights and use terms. A link does not transfer those rights. Our site permission covers our original compositions and does not grant a licence to reproduce a publisher’s complete Lectionary or the content of an external website.
Liturgical and pastoral responsibility
The site is an independent aid, not an ecclesiastical authority. “Guided by GIRM 69–71” describes the composition approach, not formal approval or a guarantee that every user edit is suitable. The priest celebrant should review the final text, local names and needs, and any ritual or diocesan requirements. Prescribed texts and proper liturgical books take precedence over our ordinary examples.
AI limitations
AI may produce an awkward, inaccurate, repetitive, or unsuitable draft despite our instructions and automated checks. Verify the result, especially dates, names, reading references, and special-occasion wording. Do not treat generated text as an official judgment, pastoral counselling, sacramental direction, or a substitute for a responsible human decision. You may edit or reject any draft.
Your text and responsible use
You retain the rights you have in the text you enter. You permit us and the necessary service providers to process it only as needed to provide the requested feature, subject to the privacy notice and provider terms. Do not enter unlawful material, confidential information without authority, abusive requests, or copyrighted content you do not have permission to use. Do not attempt to extract credentials, defeat rate limits, attack the service, or impersonate another person.
Availability and liability
We take care in preparing and maintaining the site but do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free content, official approval, or a particular outcome. Save or download important drafts before relying on them for a celebration. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from reliance on unreviewed content or service interruptions. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Questions and corrections
Please contact us about a technical fault, rights concern, or suspected editorial error. Include the page address and a clear description rather than sensitive personal details. We may update these terms as the service changes and will revise the date above. Applicable mandatory consumer and privacy protections remain unaffected.
