Choosing readings for a graduation Mass
Begin with the date and the local liturgical calendar. Graduation does not automatically replace the assigned readings. The celebrant determines which options from an approved Lectionary are permitted.
Bring the school’s date, age group and pastoral concerns to the planning meeting. Confirm the Mass formulary and reading references before preparing the reader’s sheet. Then connect one or two intercessions naturally to the readings, without turning them into a lesson.
